How to use the white screen
Go full screen
Choose a color, then press Go full screen. The whole display turns that color with no menus or edges. Use the arrow keys to switch colors without leaving full screen.
Use it as a light for Zoom and video calls
A white screen in front of you works as a simple fill light for Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, and for selfies or small product photos. Open this page on a second monitor, a tablet or a spare phone placed just above or beside your camera, then go full screen.
Pure white can look harsh and blue on camera. Move Color temperature down to about 4000–5000 K for a warmer, more natural skin tone, and use Brightness to soften it.
Turn the display's own brightness up for more light. Where the browser supports it, the page keeps the screen awake while the color is up, so it does not dim in the middle of a call.
Clean and inspect your display
Dust, smudges and fingerprints are easy to miss on a busy picture. On plain white, and then on black, they stand out, which helps when you wipe the screen. Turn the device off or use a soft cloth on its own if the manufacturer recommends that.
Solid colors also reveal uneven backlight, faint tinting at the edges and dead or stuck pixels. For a guided check of every color in turn, use the dead pixel test.
Other everyday uses
- Trace a drawing by placing thin paper over a tablet showing white.
- Check how a color looks across screens by opening this page on each one.
- Give a monitor a neutral background while you adjust its picture settings.
Need the color as a file for a projector, a second screen or a wallpaper? Pick a size under Download as an image and save it as a PNG. Everything runs on this page; nothing is installed or sent anywhere.
